How to Play Cornhole:

Required Equipment:

- Cornhole boards: Two angled boards, each with a hole near the top.

- Bags: Each team gets 4 bags (usually filled with corn kernels or synthetic material). One team uses one color, the other team uses a different color.

Objective:

The goal is to score points by throwing the bags onto the board or through the hole.

Setup:

- Place the boards 27 feet apart (for regulation play) or adjust the distance for casual play.

- Players stand next to one board and take turns throwing toward the opposite board.

Rules:

1. Teams: Cornhole can be played as singles (1 player per team) or doubles (2 players per team). In doubles, one player from each team stands at each board.

2. Turns: Teams alternate throws. One player from Team A throws, then one from Team B, and repeat until all 8 bags are thrown.

3. Scoring:

   - On the board: A bag landing on the board (without falling off) earns 1 point.

   - In the hole: A bag going through the hole earns 3 points.

   - Cancellation scoring: After both teams have thrown all their bags, subtract the lower team's score from the higher team's score. The remaining points go to the higher-scoring team.

4. Winning: The game is typically played to 21 points. Some people play that you must hit exactly 21, while others allow a win if you exceed 21.

Other Rules:

- Players must stay behind the front of the board when throwing (the "foul line").

- Bags that hit the ground and bounce onto the board do not count and should be removed from the board.

Cornhole is often played casually with flexible rules, but those are the basic guidelines!
